About Mira
My piano teaching methodology centers on cultivating body awareness, calm focus, and expressive control to help students play with ease and meaning. I begin by guiding learners to find balanced seated posture and relaxed hand arches, essential for fluid motion across the keys. Through gentle reminders and mindful technique, students learn to connect breath and movement, reducing tension and enhancing musical flow. Visual thinking strategies play a key role in my approach, encouraging students to imagine sound shapes and phrasing as vivid, expressive stories. This helps unlock creative imagination alongside disciplined practice. I support learners who thrive on gentle motivation, nurturing confidence while fostering structured development in technique and repertoire. Whether you are drawn to the refined precision of classical music or the spontaneous creativity of jazz, my lessons are tailored to balance technical mastery with personal expression. With over seven years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I am passionate about guiding students to unlock their full musical potential. My teaching focuses on expressive performance, tone control, and the art of musical storytelling. I believe music is not just about notes on a page, but about conveying emotion and connecting with listeners on a deeper level. Whether you are drawn to classical repertoire or inspired by the world of film music, I tailor each lesson to nurture your artistic growth.
I have had the privilege of mentoring many students preparing for conservatories and competitions, helping them build confidence and refine their technique. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on bringing out each student’s unique voice. I encourage exploration and creativity while maintaining strong technical foundations.
