About Mara
My teaching methodology is built around creativity, communication, compassion, and problem-solving—four pillars that shape every lesson I teach. I believe that learning piano is not just about mastering keys and notes but about discovering your personal connection to music. Each student has a unique rhythm and learning style, so I design customized lessons that balance structured learning with creative exploration. By incorporating improvisation, ear training, and musical expression, I help students think beyond the sheet music and develop a true understanding of the art form. I encourage open dialogue during lessons so students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas. My compassionate approach creates a supportive atmosphere where mistakes are seen as stepping stones rather than setbacks. This helps students build confidence, persistence, and a positive mindset toward practice and performance. Alongside piano, I also teach related subjects like music theory, composition, and performance skills to give students a well-rounded musical education. My ultimate goal is to nurture confident, expressive pianists who approach every piece with curiosity, understanding, and joy.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping high school and college students master the art of piano through a personalized and inspiring approach. My lessons are designed to blend technical excellence with musical creativity, ensuring that every student builds a strong foundation while discovering their own artistic voice. I believe that music education should go beyond just notes and theory—it should empower students to connect emotionally with their instrument and express themselves with confidence.
My teaching style focuses on understanding each student’s strengths, goals, and learning pace. I take pride in tailoring lessons to suit individual needs, whether a student aims to perform professionally, prepare for examinations, or simply enjoy playing as a creative outlet. By combining structured practice routines with interactive learning, I make lessons engaging and effective. I also integrate modern techniques, ear training, and composition exercises to help students develop a well-rounded understanding of music.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel inspired to grow, take on challenges, and celebrate progress at every stage. Through dedication, patience, and creative guidance, I aim to help each student reach their fullest musical potential.
