About Isla
I earned a Bachelor's in Piano Performance and have spent 5 years helping students discover the joy of music. Teaching learners with different interests has taught me the importance of flexibility, patience, and encouragement. I enjoy seeing students become more confident with every lesson.
My teaching philosophy focuses on building solid foundations while encouraging musical expression. I believe technical ability and creativity should develop together so students become well-rounded musicians. Every learner receives individual attention throughout their musical journey.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy accompanying performers, arranging piano music, and learning new repertoire. These experiences bring fresh ideas into my teaching. Watching students perform confidently after dedicated practice is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My piano lessons encourage students to enjoy music while developing strong technical skills. We explore finger independence, rhythm training, sight reading, chord progressions, scales, dynamics, duet playing, musical expression, and reading fluency through structured yet enjoyable practice. Every lesson balances technique with creativity from the very beginning.
I use listening activities, rhythm challenges, guided improvisation, ensemble exercises, and performance preparation to make learning interesting for every student. Lessons are adapted to different learning styles, allowing beginners and experienced players to improve steadily with clear guidance and encouraging feedback.
Learning the piano should feel exciting instead of stressful. I help students build confidence through achievable goals, regular practice strategies, and positive reinforcement. Every lesson encourages musical growth while helping learners enjoy every new piece they play.
