About Robert
I have studied piano since I was a child. The first years I was a self-taught student, but in my late teens I decided to study in a professional environment. I studied classical piano in Seville, Spain obtaining a 6-year degree at Francisco Guerrero’s Conservatory. Then I moved to Dallas, Texas, to study at the University of North Texas graduating with Magna Cum Laude with a B.A in Music. After many years of studying piano, most of it classical music, I also studied jazz at UNT. I have been instructing students from all ages and from beginner to intermediate-high levels both in Spain and in the US. Being patient is crucial to learn how to play the piano. Having the correct teacher who understands your personal needs and who can adapt to them will help you achieve your goals. My profound knowledge of classical music and jazz which I will be sharing with you will help you enjoy and succeed in the process of learning how to play the piano.

I adapt my lessons to your level, skills, personality, and preferences to teach piano. After having experiences as a self-taught learner and learning in music institutions both in Spain and in the US, I know exactly what you need to learn to improve and how to overcome the technical or musical challenges you will face pursuing the art of piano playing. I can teach beginners to intermediate-high levels, from children to adults. I am specialized in teaching classical music, although I can help you learn and play other genres such as pop, jazz, or rock for example. An especially important part of my teaching focuses so that you understand the basic rules and foundation of harmony, which will tremendously impulse your understanding of music and it will increase the student’s learning speed.
