About Owen
University of Sydney first year dental student. Proficient in English, Cantonese, Mandarin Certificate: Trinity ATCL Diploma (Distinction) ABRSM Grade 8 (Distinction) Owen Chau was a student at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts since the age of 7, majoring in piano performance. During his childhood and teenage years, he actively participated in piano competitions, winning multiple awards, such as the Champion at Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, Gold Prize at the Hong Kong Youth Piano Competition, and more. He also performed around the world as a soloist during his youth, in cities including London, Amsterdam, Bergen and Vienna. He is a talented, accomplished musician, achieving Distinction on his ABRSM Grade 8 exam at the young age of 10, and Distinction on his Trinity ATCL Piano Diploma exam at 15. He received an offer to study at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London when he was 18. Apart from being a pianist, he is also a violinist and composer. Owen has five years of experience in piano tutoring. He is exceptionally patient, kind and energetic. He is excellent at communicating with young students.

Tailored lessons for beginner to advanced students. The focus of lessons includes fundamental techniques and basics of piano playing, developing a musical sense, and key aspects of piano performance. Fast progress and improvement in technicality and musicality will be guaranteed. Students preparing for competitions or exams (ABRSM/AMEB/Trinity) will be especially benefited. Lessons begin at 1 hour.
