About Jolie
My piano teaching approach is centered on discovery, self-expression, and exploring the many colors of sound. I invite students to learn through curiosity, creativity, and a deep connection to their instrument. Guided improvisation helps them trust their instincts and shape music in their own way. Call-and-response games make learning interactive, joyful, and rooted in strong listening skills. Storytelling through music encourages emotional expression, allowing students to translate feelings into meaningful sound. We also experiment with layered sound textures, creating rich musical moments that develop imagination and awareness. Alongside these creative explorations, I teach essential technical skills like pedal technique, tone balance, and shaping dynamics for expressive control. This combination supports learners who thrive on personal expression while still wanting structured growth. Each lesson is a welcoming space where students can explore freely and build confidence step by step. I guide them with patience, clarity, and encouragement, helping them discover their unique musical identity. Together, we turn curiosity into artistry and create music that feels honest, vibrant, and deeply personal.

I’m a dedicated piano tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, specializing in piano. I have a strong passion for group learning, and I love guiding students through duets, ensembles, and band-style keyboard roles. Working together helps students understand music in a deeper, more collaborative way. It builds trust, teamwork, and a solid rhythmic groove that makes every session exciting.
My lessons focus on developing performance confidence while keeping the environment supportive and fun. I enjoy helping students step onto the stage with pride and energy. Many of my learners have performed at school talent shows, recitals, and community events, showcasing their hard work and musical joy. Seeing them shine inspires me every day.
