About Kathryn
With over 10 years of experience in piano, I’ve developed a deep understanding of both performance and technique. My journey started at a young age, and through consistent practice, performances, and completing Level 8 RCM, I’ve grown not only as a musician but as a mentor. Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, and gained strong skills in theory, ear training, and sight-reading. This experience allows me to guide students with patience, confidence, and a clear sense of progression—helping them avoid common mistakes and build a strong musical foundation from day one.

As a Level 8 RCM-certified pianist, I offer personalized lessons designed to build strong foundational skills while keeping students engaged and motivated. I combine classical techniques with fun, modern approaches tailored to each student’s learning style. A typical lesson includes warm-ups, sight-reading, theory, and hands-on practice of assigned pieces. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students of all ages and adapt my teaching to suit their individual goals. My lessons are perfect for beginners to intermediate players, from young children to teens preparing for RCM exams or simply wanting to enjoy and improve their piano skills.
