About Andrea
Andrea Caruso receives his first piano lessons at the age of nine under the guidance of Paola Angelozzi and then continues at the “Luisa D'Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara in the class of Sara Budini, graduating with full marks and honors.
Winner of an Erasmus scholarship, he moved to Spain to follow the lessons of Miguel Angel Herranz and Ana Fontestad (respectively for piano and chamber music) at the “Joaquin Rodrigo” Conservatory of Music in Valencia.
He perfected himself with a two-year specialist course in piano with Ines Mangiullo and Monaldo Braconi and in chamber music with Marco Grisanti at the “L. Perosi ”of Campobasso, obtaining the grade of 110, praise and mention.
He attended the International Courses of Music Improvement held by Konstantin Bogino, Laura Pietrocini, Vladimir Ogarkov and Svetlana Bogino, with whom he studied for three years at the International Academy of Music in Rome.
He has participated in numerous Masterclasses held by internationally renowned pianists and teachers, including Valentina Berman, Mats Widlund, Orazio Maione, Michele Marvulli, Bruno Bizzarri, Francesco Nicolosi, Gianluca Luisi, Vlad Dimulescu and in particular the famous Moscow pianist Alexander Kobrin. At the invitation of the latter he attempts admission to the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in Georgia (United States), where once admitted he obtains the Artist Diploma two years later, studying with Masters Tatiana Muzanova and Henry Kramer and working at the same time as accompanying pianist.
In 2020 he is admitted into the class of M ° Carol Leone at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Finally he studied with M ° Bernt Wilhelmsson at the Högskolan för scen och musik in Gothenburg (Sweden).
He has performed as a soloist and in chamber ensemble for various institutions and reviews, in Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United States.
He was chosen as piano teacher for the basic courses of the Cenacle of Music by Maestro Giuliano Mazzoccante at the National Boarding School "GB Vico" in Chieti.
In the United States he was a piano teacher at the St. Luke School in Columbus (Georgia) and an assistant teacher and coach of Italian diction at the Schwob School of Music in the same city.
Parallel to his musical activity, in 2013 he obtained a three-year degree in Philosophy at the “Gabriele D'Annunzio” University of Chieti.

I offer lessons to beginners of any age and students who want to enter the Conservatory.
I always strive to understand the interests and attitudes of my students and adapt my approach to the talent of each.
Mainly, I try to make sure that my students have a clear idea of the musical result they have to achieve with the instrument (for example by singing) before they devote fruitless hours of study in a mechanical way to the piano.
Studying music should never be perceived as boring and frustrating and it is certainly a great school of life, whether you want to become a concert artist or not.

Perfect! Andrea è un insegnante molto competente, appassionato, che non si risparmia nel trasmettere le sue abilità e trasporto per la musica, in particolare anche nell'ambito di brani di repertori complessi ed ambiziosi. Già nella mia prima lezione ho ricevuto supporto prezioso su aspetti basici e piu' avanzati.

Un ottimo insegnante. Preparato e paziente. Mia figlia, di 9 anni, è entusiasta di fare lezione con lui. Assolutamente consigliato.
Competente, empatico e spiritoso quando serve, Andrea è un insegnante come ancora pochi se ne trovano in giro.
