About Illya
Hi, I’m Illya! I’m currently going into my third year studying Physics (BSc) at Imperial College London. I achieved high First-Class marks in both my first and second year, giving me a deep, rigorous foundation in advanced mathematics and physical principles. Alongside my degree, I have experience working as a maths tutor for GCSE students. I genuinely enjoy teaching because I love seeing students gain confidence in themselves and their skills when concepts go from overwhelming to familiar and helpful. Together, we’ll pinpoint your specific goals and create a personalised learning plan designed to build a solid knowledge foundation, master exam technique, and achieve the grades you want for your next steps.

As someone who quite recently went through school, I am equipped with the knowledge of the different kinds of challenges A-Level and GCSE-level Maths and Physics may pose. Having helped some of my classmates at the time, I can present the material from various perspectives and ensure we can build strong intuition so you actually understand why a physical or mathematical concept works.
However, knowing the theory is only half the battle. Exams test your ability to decode specific question styles, so we polish your skills with work on past papers and exam board nuances to build confidence under time pressure.
