I've tutored for 10 years alongside my own education and whilst I've been teaching. I work carefully with each individual client to produce a realistic and dynamic schedule of learning and/or revision, either for the purpose of exam preparation or to reinforce day to day concepts introduced at school. My lessons tend to involve a mixture of verbal questioning and explanation, practice questions (which I like to mark in the presence of my clients in order to impart valuable knowledge about the specifics of mark schemes) and the use of other resources (videos, animations, demonstrations, etc) when necessary.
My approach to tuition is calm and productive, and I pride myself on allowing my clients to become comfortable with the material we are covering at their own pace. I also work as a Head of Year so always have my clients pastoral and wellbeing needs in mind. I also have experience working as a teaching assistant as well as with SEN students and have an enhanced DBS check certificate.
