About Alexa

Hi! I'm a Physics PhD student at Hampton University specializing in Quantum Science. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering, and I have professional experience working as an engineer and conducting scientific research.

My academic and professional background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and analytical problem-solving. I'm passionate about education and helping students overcome challenges in STEM subjects.

I understand that math and physics can sometimes feel intimidating, so I strive to create a welcoming, patient, and encouraging learning environment. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence, strengthen their critical-thinking skills, and develop a genuine understanding of the material.

My tutoring sessions are designed to make challenging math and physics concepts easier to understand through personalized, step-by-step instruction. As a Physics PhD student with a background in engineering and scientific research, I emphasize conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills rather than memorization.

Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual learning style, academic goals, and current level of understanding. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through difficult homework problems, or strengthening your foundational knowledge, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.

I offer tutoring for high school and college students, with flexible online sessions that accommodate different schedules and learning needs.
