About Jake
I have an MSci with Honours (combined Masters and Bachelors degree) in Physics and a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics. I have previously tutored A level (equivalent to VCE) in the UK.
After arriving in Melbourne from the UK, I have worked at Monash University as a researcher in Particle Physics.
I have found that teaching physics and mathematics to be a rewarding part of being a physicist, in terms of helping other people understand the topic and improving my ability to explain it to others. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Physics, Maths and Programming with other people.

I teach physics and maths -mainly at a pre-university level (VCE level) - i.e. ages 16 and up.
Standard lessons are an hour, but longer lessons are also possible if needed. Standard hourly rates apply.
Lessons are customised for individual student needs (e.g. homework help, exam prep or general coursework.)
Lessons can be held in the student's home, online or in a public place (such as a library). Unfortunately, I am unable to host students in my own home.
