I have just completed my third year of philosophy at Durham University, with a 2:1. My favourite topics have been the philosophy of religion, philosophy of science as well as the history of philosophy looking at figures such as Descartes and Kant

I find it easiest to learn philosophy by clarifying the terminology before looking at original texts. This provides an overview before considering the writings of philosophers which are often quite complex. Since most of philosophy is an on-going debate, encouraging original thinking will be done through various activities such as drawing links to real life situations and mini essays.
