About Mark
I have worked for over 30 years in the Higher Education sector, only in Russell Group Universities. In that time I have engaged with hundreds of students and colleagues and learned something new every single day because everyone is different. My goal is to listen rather than teach. We will flip the classroom as often as feasible, and when you are ready to do so. This, I believe, is the best way to learn - having to teach the subject yourself. The immersion leads to opening up different parts of the brain and answering questions put by the teacher connects neurons that would otherwise remain dormant.

Lessons typically last 50 mins. My technique involves listening and learning first of all. I do not assume I know how you learn - everyone is different. We will discuss a plan for learning that focuses on you and adapt lesson plans appropriately. I will introduce topics gradually and at a rate which fits with the mode of learning. We will review progress frequently and ensure that learning objectives are met before progressing - that way you hopefully will not become overwhelmed. I have been a lecturer and tutor for over 30 years in the higher education setting. I work primarily with 18+ but can also teach to A level and GCSE curricula.
