About Villorthan
I'm a published researcher with a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, specialising in applied AI for engineering systems. I've received multiple scholarships and awards for my work, and I teach and examine at university level.
My approach is hands-on and practical. I don't lecture at you — I build with you. Every concept gets grounded in a real project so it sticks. Whether you're a complete beginner curious about AI, a student struggling with a dissertation, or a professional looking to pivot into tech, I tailor every session to your goals.

I teach AI the way I wish someone had taught me — through real projects, not just theory. Every session is built around what you're actually trying to achieve, whether that's understanding machine learning for the first time, building a Python project for your dissertation, or upskilling for a career change into tech.
Sessions are typically one hour, flexible to 90 minutes for project-heavy work. I start by understanding where you are and where you want to get to, then we build a clear path together. I use live coding, visual explanations, and real-world datasets so you leave every session having built something, not just read about it.
I hold a PhD in Artificial Intelligence applied to Aerospace Engineering, with multiple awards and scholarships. I teach and examine at university level. I've worked with complete beginners through to advanced researchers. Whether you're 18 or 55, changing careers or chasing a promotion, if you want to understand AI properly — not just the buzzwords — I can get you there.
