About Amanda
I’m a higher education professional, researcher, and educator with a passion for helping students reach their academic goals. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring them through coursework, research projects, academic writing, and data analysis. I also enjoy working with younger students to strengthen foundational skills in math, reading, writing, organization, and study habits.
I earned my doctorate in education and have dedicated my career to understanding how students learn and how to make learning more effective. I enjoy solving problems, explaining difficult concepts in ways that make sense, and helping students build confidence in their abilities. Whether you’re just beginning to learn a new subject or working through more advanced material, I’m committed to creating a supportive learning environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow as a learner.

I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to think through problems rather than simply memorize answers. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student’s goals, experience, and learning style. Whether we’re reviewing homework, preparing for an exam, strengthening foundational skills, or tackling more advanced concepts, I focus on helping students build confidence while developing a deeper understanding of the material.
I enjoy breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and helping students discover that challenging subjects are often much more approachable than they initially seem. My goal is not only to help students succeed on their next assignment or test, but also to help them become independent learners with the skills and confidence to continue succeeding long after our sessions are over.
