About Giulia
I am a PhD student in History at the University of Oxford with 10+ years of experience in private tutoring. For years I have been helping high school and university students achieve their goals, pass exams, write theses and improve grades on report cards and student records. Take a trial lesson with me, let's understand togethe where and how you could use some help, and then let's solve the problem once and for all!
I am available for lessons both online and face-to-face, in Italian or English. In my free time I collaborate with a start-up that supports teens and undergraduates who wish to study abroad.

If you are reading this paragraph it is because there is something in your learning method that is not working as it should. In 99% of cases, the students who come to me have one of two problems:
Problem # 1: studying certain subjects (history, philosophy, literature ...) bores you to death. Perhaps you do not see the usefulness of it, or it takes much longer than it should for you to learn notions, and consequently every minute spent on the books of that subject seems agony, with obvious consequences on your grades ...
Problem # 2: The results obtained in the exams / class assignments do not correspond to the effort you poured in your studies. Maybe you spend hours on books, but then when the day of the test comes, you cannot remember what you have studied, or (even worse!) you are not able to express yourself properly.
Both of these problems have their roots in lack of involvement and can be easily solved, but you need the right tutor. I've been dealing with demotivated students for over ten years, and I know what I'm talking about. There are no "standard methods" that work indiscriminately with all pupils, otherwise teachers would already be using them in class and you wouldn't need extra tutoring. Each student has their own needs, strengths and weaknesses. Give me the chance to get to know you and understand how your brain works, and I assure you that with my help you will be able to overcome your learning problems.
