About Glesni
I have a BSc and MRes from the University of Liverpool and am now working on my PhD at Queen's University Belfast, researching ways to reduce methane emissions from ruminants. I’m passionate about science and love sharing my enthusiasm with others. I work part-time in after-school clubs at primary schools, teaching science and leading arts and crafts activities to make learning fun and engaging. Outside of work and research, I’m a huge animal lover and enjoy spending time dog walking and baking.

I’m a friendly and approachable tutor who makes lessons feel relaxed so students can ask anything they’re unsure about. I’ve taught English in Romania, tutored English online, and work as an undergraduate biology demonstrator helping students one-on-one in the lab to build confidence. My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on clear explanations, practical exercises, and real-world examples to make learning engaging. Sessions usually last 1 hour, but I’m flexible. I teach a range of ages and levels, whether you’re looking to improve your English or feel more confident in biology.
