About Mike
I am currently a Senior Maths tutor and Mechanical Engineering Lecturer at an IoT (Institute of Technology). I have also assisted in the supervision of final year university engineering students in the completion of their final year project. I have also been a Maths tutor at Kip McGrath and a Private Maths and science tutor at GCSE and A-Level.

First of all, I think that for learning to take place, the learner has to get involved through sharing ideas, practising and reflecting. Thus, here is my teaching methodology: - Present the activities as a problem - Discuss with the learner about the possibilities to solve it - I would teach the learner the most common and effective techniques to solve it - Then have the student practise similar problems - Then ask the student to reflect on his/her performances and give homework to improve further. My sessions are typically 1.5 hour long for learners at KS3 level. However for KS4 (GCSE) level, a 2 hours lesson is more suitable. I have been tutoring Maths and Physics at all levels for the past 6 years. I have a Master of Eng degree in Aerospace Engineering and now completing my PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
