About Anna
I am a PhD qualified mathematician with a background in applied mathematics and computational sciences. I have experience working as a mathematics tutor and graduate teaching assistant at university level, as well as teaching secondary level mathematics at an international school. This combination has helped me develop a patient, structured, and student-centered teaching style. I value clarity, empathy, and consistency in my work. Having personally experienced hesitation and anxiety around asking questions as a learner, I am particularly attentive to creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere. I believe strong understanding comes from feeling safe to ask questions, take time, and learn at a comfortable pace. My goal is to help students build confidence alongside solid mathematical foundations.

Because I was shy and hesitant to ask questions from an early age, I understand how intimidating mathematics can feel for many students. In my lessons, I focus on creating a calm and respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment.
I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences and have experience as a university graduate teaching assistant, mathematics tutor, and secondary level teacher at an international school. This background allows me to adapt my teaching to different levels and learning needs.
My lessons are structured and carefully paced, focusing on clear explanations, guided problem solving, and long term understanding rather than memorization. Each session is tailored to the student’s level and goals, helping them build confidence step by step.
