About Sam
I'm a professional research engineer with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and masters in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University. My job involves me using maths, chemistry, physics and computer science to a high level on a daily basis, and I've previously tutored and lectured on these subjects at Newcastle University.
I'm passionate about science and I've worked across across a wide range of scientific fields, including nuclear, respiratory protection, and my current role which involves improving medical devices to help patients recover after heart surgery.
I'm very comfortable teaching maths at any level, as well as chemistry, physics and computing up to A-level. My working hours are flexible, so my availability is very good. I'm also very happy to offer career guidance to students who are considering pursuing a scientific field.
