About Vassilios
I am a Greek-Scot with a PhD in aerospace engineering and over 15 years experience of university level teaching. I am also author of several books, including "Every Night Astronomy" which is an introduction to understand the night sky. I have taught students from various countries and academic backgrounds and have a passion for popularising science. My interest in private tutoring lies in teaching people who wish to broaden their knowledge and not in coaching students just to pass exams.

I will teach anyone who is interesting in obtaining an understanding of the night sky including the apparent motion of the sun, the phases of the moon, the motion of planets, the astronomical significance of calendars, etc. For this you will be using specialised planetarium software, so lessons will offer a visual experience and not only a theoretical background. After a few hours of teaching you will be in a position to start observing the sky with a much enhanced understanding.
