About Pooria
I’m a PhD graduate from the University of Warwick with a strong background in engineering, maths, physics, and programming. Alongside my academic work, I’ve taught students of different ages and levels, from school pupils to university students and adults. I take teaching seriously and always prepare properly for each lesson. I’m patient, organised, and clear in the way I explain things, especially when a student feels stuck or overwhelmed. I’ve worked with students who needed exam support, confidence building, or a fresh explanation after struggling in class. I’m professional, reliable, and respectful of students’ goals and time. My focus is not just on solving problems, but on helping students actually understand the subject so they can work independently and feel confident going forward. I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning.

My teaching style is practical and student-focused. I start by understanding what the student already knows, then explain things step by step in a clear and simple way. I use real examples and work through problems together rather than just giving formulae or theory. Lessons are usually 60 minutes. Each session includes a short recap, explanation of new topics, and practice questions with feedback. I adjust the pace based on the student and always encourage questions. I’m a PhD graduate from the University of Warwick with experience teaching maths, physics, and coding to school students, university students, and adults. I’ve taught complete beginners as well as advanced learners, including students preparing for exams or struggling with confidence. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and adults who want to improve their technical skills or understand topics properly. My aim is to make difficult subjects feel manageable and help students gain real confidence, not just memorise answers.
