About Tommy
Dr. Nguyen is a full member of Australian Computer Society (ACS). He earned his Master and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Data Science from EPFL (Switzerland), top-10 world university. His research interests include Databases, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Blockchain with special focus on Data Filtering, Trust Management, Crowdsourcing, and Deep Learning for data lakes, data networks, and data streams. He has published 52+ papers (28+ CORE A*) in top-tier conferences (e.g. SIGMOD, VLDB, SIGIR, ICDE, IJCAI) and high-impact journals (e.g. VLDBJ, TKDE, Pattern Recognition, Information Sciences). He has served as a PC member for several A*/A conferences such as AAAI, IJCAI, TheWebConf, WSDM, VLDB, SIGIR, ICDE, KDD, CIKM, EMNLP. He is a guest editor of IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, an area chair of ACL and EMNLP and a reviewer of CSUR, TKDE, JVLDB, TNNLS, Information Sciences, Pattern Recognition, etc. His research has attracted over 2400 citations (h-index 26).
