About Brendan
I am a university lecturer with over five years of experience teaching Civil Engineering subjects in HE, as well as Maths and Physics at GCSE/A-level through private tutoring. I have a PhD in Structural Health Monitoring of Civil Structures from Nottingham Trent University. I have successfully got multiple students acing their GCSEs and A-levels, and have taught several others in the university who are now successful engineers and construction project managers. Beyond all these, I do have a genuine passion for teaching, a gift for communication, and a love for nurturing young people to success.

My approach to teaching is firstly to break down concepts completely, such that students have a basic and intuitive understanding; and secondly, to get students to practise with as many examples as possible, so that they learn problem-solving tricks and skills. My lessons will typically last between one to three hours, with mini breaks every hour. I am happy to teach GCSE level students, as well as those in HE, and I can teach online, or in your home. With over five years of experience teaching at both HE and GCSE/A-level, and with consistent positive student feedback, you are guaranteed to get the most value for your time and money.
