About Rainie
I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. Through the years I have mentored many students in research, and I have also been a teaching assistant for a heat and mass transfer class as well as a lab class. In undergrad I led study sessions and helped my peers learn concepts and work through homework problems.

I like to understand how a person learns best and work from there. Someone who hates to memorize things might find it easier if there is a game involved, or if we make up a song to help keep things in their head. If an explanation isn't working, or I notice a particular roadblock, I'm going to do my best to work around that and come up with something new instead of getting frustrated or repeating things over and over.
