My teaching approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding, not memorization. I then give a structured explanation of the topic, walk through solved examples, and gradually shift responsibility to the student through practice problems of increasing difficulty. Each lesson ends with a short recap and a personalized plan for the next session, ensuring steady progress and clear learning goals.
What sets me apart is my background as a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics, a published researcher, and a former university teaching associate. I have taught and mentored hundreds of students in courses ranging from college algebra to advanced calculus.
