About Mariyam
Hello! I’m Dr. Mariyam, a highly qualified tutor with a PharmD and PhD in Pharmacology, and over 10 years of academic, research, and teaching experience. I’ve taught undergraduate and postgraduate students in pharmacy, biology, biomedical sciences, and related fields. I also hold a Teaching Certificate for Postgraduate Students from the Center for Teaching and Learning at Khalifa University, where I was trained in inclusive, student-centered teaching methods. My teaching style focuses on clarity, structure, and engagement. I break down complex topics using real-world examples and visuals to make learning easier and more enjoyable. My approach is student-centered and concept-focused. I tailor each session to the student's level and goals, using visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step explanations to simplify complex topics. I begin by assessing the student's understanding, then build lessons to strengthen weak areas and reinforce key concepts. I also provide revision tools, exam strategies, and assignment guidance when needed. Lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, depending on the student's needs. I hold a PharmD and a PhD in Pharmacology, along with a Teaching Certificate Course for Postgraduate Students from the Center for Teaching and Learning at Khalifa University. I have over 10 years of academic, research, and teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
