About Aislinn
I am a pharmacy student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed in math. I achieved top marks in my college mathematics module (≥90%), reflecting both my solid understanding of mathematical concepts and my ability to apply them clearly and accurately.
Through my studies in pharmacy, I have developed strong problem-solving, analytical, and teaching skills, all of which translate directly into effective math tutoring. Pharmacy requires precision, logical thinking, and clear explanations — the same skills that are essential for success in mathematics.
From nearly failing the mocks to receiving 613 points in the Leaving Cert and 10 distinctions in the Junior Cert in my Secondary School,
I understand that many students feel anxious or discouraged by math, particularly at Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert Ordinary Level. Having worked through challenging material myself, I know how important it is to explain topics patiently and in a way that genuinely makes sense. My approach is calm, structured, and supportive, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I am committed to providing professional, reliable, and well-prepared lessons, tailored to each student’s ability and goals — whether that is building confidence, securing a pass, or improving overall performance. My aim is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more confident and capable in math.

I believe maths doesn’t have to be intimidating. My goal is to break topics down in a way that actually makes sense, whether a student is aiming for a pass or pushing for top grades. I focus on building confidence first, because once students feel comfortable, their results improve naturally.
Teaching Techniques & Methodology
Step-by-step explanations – no skipping steps or assuming prior knowledge
Plain language – I avoid unnecessary jargon and explain ideas in simple terms
Worked examples followed by guided practice
Exam-focused approach – we practise the exact type of questions that appear in exams
Mistake-friendly learning – errors are used as learning tools, not something to fear
Tailored lessons – each session is adapted to the student’s level, pace, and goals
I also show students how to pick up method marks, which is crucial for passing and improving grades even if the final answer isn’t perfect.
