About Amanda
I’ve been an artist all my life, developing a rigorous practice outside of traditional art school. My background in science gives me a unique perspective: I can break down complex artistic concepts into clear, approachable steps. I have an eye for detail and love helping students refine their work, whether that means strengthening technique or overcoming creative blocks. I understand that art is both technical and emotional - sometimes it’s not about skill, but confidence. If you’re looking for a teacher who can guide you through both the practical and personal sides of art-making, we’ll be an excellent match.

My lessons combine technical instruction with creative guidance, helping you not only improve your skills but also build confidence in your artistic voice. In our first session, I’ll learn about your goals, interests, and current level. From there, I’ll design lessons tailored specifically to you - whether that means mastering shading and perspective, exploring new mediums, or simply building consistency in your practice. My goal is to give you tools, techniques, and encouragement so you can grow as the artist you want to become.
