About Jen
Hi! My name is Jenny and I'm a Yr 13 student who's very passionate for teaching.
Taking Biology and Mathematics ahead of my year group, my teaching experience started out as simply helping out my fellow friends with confusing questions and consolidating understanding. As I began teaching more, I began to appreciate the varying methods the same information would be interpreted by different individuals. Thus my method of teaching is to closely analyse each student and adapt my teaching style to their needs.
My qualifications include:
- 2 years tutoring experience at my high-school program
- 6A*s in IGCSE: Mathematics, Chemistry, Combined Science, Physics, English Literature, English Language
- 90+ in AS Chemistry, AS Biology, AS Physics, AS Mathematics
- A* in A level Biology and A Level Mathematics (100 in A2 component)
- Currently completing A2 Chemistry, Physics and Literature

I offer personalised tutoring for Year 7–11 students, helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding and approach challenging questions with ease.
I have a comprehensive knowledge of the CIE curricula and what examiners look for, so I would be perfect for a student thinking of taking CIE exams or Yr 11s starting out. I also have confident understanding of middle-school and NCEA Calculus
My tutoring approach:
- Simple explanations: I break down complicated concepts into clear, easy-to-understand ideas.
- Concepts first: A focus on understanding the why before moving on to application and exam-style questions. My goal is not just for students to get the right answer, but to make sure they can understand how and why they got there.
- Personalised learning: Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to their individual strengths, weaknesses and goals. This way, lessons are efficient and time is maximised
Lessons are typically 1hr, but flexible from 45-90min
