About Manel
I am an experienced educator and professional trainer with a strong academic background and extensive public sector experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Environmental Forestry from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Monash University, Australia. I began my career as a university lecturer, teaching undergraduate students for nearly three years, before serving for over fifteen years as a senior executive in the public sector. I later worked as a lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration, where I trained public sector officials in leadership, policy, and professional skills. I am also a Certified Speechcrafter with active exposure to Toastmasters International, which has strengthened my expertise in public speaking, communication, and confidence building. This blend of academic training, practical leadership experience, and communication expertise enables me to support students with professionalism, credibility, and care.

My online public speaking lessons are designed to help children speak with confidence in a friendly and supportive way. I use personalised teaching methods so each child learns at their own pace and according to their needs. With my Master’s degree from Monash University, certification as a Speechcrafter, and experience as a trainer and coach, I guide students through fun and practical activities such as short speeches, storytelling, simple presentations, and positive feedback. Each lesson is two hours long and held once a week as part of a 15-week programme. These lessons are best suited for school students aged 10–15 who want to improve their confidence, speaking skills, and self-expression. Special care is taken to ensure every child, feels comfortable, encouraged, and confident throughout the course.
