About Sarah
I have performance degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music (BM) and Arizona State University (MM and DMA). I hold a certificate to teach Dalcroze Eurhythmics from the Dalcroze School of Music and Movement. In addition to teaching, I perform as concertmaster of the Sedona Symphony and as a violinist with Phoenix-based Burn City String Quartet.
I've been teaching private and group violin classes for over 20 years.

My lessons are creative playgrounds driven by a technique-based approach to the violin, a movement-centered approach to music, and a firm belief in all that is possible. Using a combination of Suzuki and traditional methods, students are supported as they experiment and grow in their musical studies.
Students can expect to work on a standard variety of technical studies and performance pieces to keep all aspects of their playing healthy and functional. I am also a certified Dalcroze Eurhythmics teacher, and can help you with rhythm, expression, and all things musical using games and movement activities.
I specialize in intermediate through advanced and professional playing and coaching. Need work on your scales and arpeggios? Need deeper rhythmic understanding? Need some guidance on what pieces to play next? Let's talk!
