About Leslei
I am an elementary-middle school tutor with 10 years of experience in tutoring/ teaching. I love art and appreciate beauty in everything.
What are my educational beliefs?
I believe that every student is intelligent in their own way. I like to tailor my teaching approach to my students’ learning strengths, interests, and personality/energy. I also believe that education should be fun. Creative and interactive lessons are the most memorable for students and are typically the types of lessons that help students effectively.
What are my hobbies and interests?
I like fitness, beauty, hiking, travelling, painting, swimming, spending time with my family and friends, and learning new practical skills.
One fun fact about me!
I have a twin brother and I hold a second-degree black belt in karate.

I love teaching art and my philosophy is quite simple:
To engage, inspire and teach art with age-appropriate techniques while inspiring students to see the beauty in everything.
I teach painting (scenic painting and cartoon painting) and pastel drawing. I have 10 years of tutoring/teaching. My lessons are student-led. The student can decide what they want to paint/draw/make and we do create the artwork together with my guidance.
I coach children on art using the task based approach. I offer a customized 8-week intensive program to address your child's needs and goals. Let me know if you would like to book a free 30-min strategy session with me so that I can better understand your current situation and give you some advice on your immediate next steps to helping your child become a proficient young artist.
