About Nitisha
Hi! I'm a Bay Area native and pediatrician offering advising and mentorship for pre-medical and medical students.
I graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Molecular & Cell Biology and Public Health, then worked as a healthcare consultant for two years before attending the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. I returned to the Bay Area for residency training at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, where I recently completed a year as Chief Resident.
This fall, I will be starting as a Neonatal Hospitalist caring for newborns and infants in the NICU.

I offer medical school application advising, including personal statements, secondary essays, application strategy, and interview preparation. I also provide mentorship for pre-medical and medical students navigating the challenges of training and career planning.
As a pediatrician and former Chief Resident at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, I have extensive experience mentoring students and trainees at different stages of their medical careers. Prior to medicine, I worked as a healthcare consultant and understand that there are many paths to a successful career in healthcare.
I enjoy helping students build confidence, navigate the application process, and overcome test-taking and application-related anxiety. Whether you're deciding if medicine is the right path, preparing your application, or navigating medical training, I strive to provide thoughtful, practical guidance tailored to your individual goals.
I believe that successful mentorship is highly individualized. My approach is to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and aspirations, then personalize my guidance to help them succeed both academically and professionally.
