About Jeanette

Hello! My name is Jeanette, and I’m a patient, supportive tutor who believes everyone can learn when they’re given the right guidance. I know that sometimes school moves too fast, or confidence gets knocked along the way. That’s why I create a calm, encouraging space where there’s no pressure and no judgement. I’ll go over things as many times as you need — because real understanding is more important than rushing. With over 20 years’ experience in professional roles where accuracy and communication were key, I’ve often helped colleagues and learners develop their skills step by step. Now, I bring that same patience, clarity, and encouragement to tutoring. Whether you’re a child learning to read and do maths, or an adult building confidence in English and numeracy, my goal is to help you feel capable and proud of what you can achieve. I only do online lessons.

About the lesson

I believe learning should feel encouraging, structured, and practical. Many learners struggle not because they lack ability, but because they’ve lost confidence. My aim is always to restore that confidence while building skills step by step. Techniques & Methodology I break topics down into clear, simple explanations with everyday examples. Lessons are interactive — I ask questions, use practice exercises, and give feedback in real time. I adapt my teaching style depending on the learner: some need visual aids, others prefer practice drills, and some benefit most from discussion. Progress is tracked each lesson so students can see their improvement, which helps build motivation. Typical Lesson Length Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Shorter 30–45 minute lessons are available for younger learners or for those who prefer focused, bite-sized learning. Over 20 years’ professional experience in finance and administration, where accuracy, communication, and training others formed a big part of my role. Experienced in supporting learners of different ages with basic maths, reading, and English skills. Skilled at making complex topics feel manageable and relevant. Who My Lessons Are For Children (ages 7+) needing extra help with reading, writing, or maths. Adult learners who want to improve everyday English, business English, or refresh their basic numeracy skills. ESL learners at beginner to intermediate level who want to improve confidence in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
