About Sushmavanguri
Hello! My name is Sushma. I am a dedicated educator and postgraduate Master of Science student at the University of Birmingham, specialising in providing high-quality, tailored academic and behavioural support for students with unique learning needs.
My educational journey is rooted in a deep fascination with how the brain learns and processes information. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neurophysiology and a Diploma in Applied Psychology. This unique academic background gives me a profound, science-backed understanding of neurodiversity, allowing me to approach tutoring from both a physiological and psychological perspective.
Over my career as an educator, I have specialised in tutoring individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including extensive work supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. Currently, I work actively as an SEN tutor with Cozy Academy, where I regularly design customised session plans, conduct behavioural analyses, and track student progress to ensure meaningful, long-term growth.
I believe that every student has immense potential; they simply need the right environment and tailored tools to unlock it. My tutoring style is exceptionally patient, encouraging, and adaptive. Whether your child needs help mastering scientific concepts, developing stronger executive functioning skills, or navigating academic anxiety, I am here to provide a safe, structured, and empowering learning space where they can truly thrive.

How I Teach: Tailored, Patient, and Evidence-Based
Every student learns differently, which is why I do not believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Drawing on my background in Neurophysiology and Applied Psychology, I design highly customised lessons that align with how each student’s brain processes information.
My tutoring focuses on creating a safe, encouraging, and low-stress environment where students feel confident to learn at their own pace.
