About Brodie
With 8 years of experience in violin teaching, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and learning levels, including beginners and advanced learners. I teach school students, college learners, and working professionals, helping them grow step by step.
My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding each student’s needs and guiding them with patience and care. I believe that learning violin should be simple, structured, and stress-free. I begin with strong basics such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and note reading, and then gradually introduce advanced lessons.
I also include exercises that improve coordination, tone, and consistency. I have successfully taught more than 150 students, many of whom have gained confidence and improved their performance skills. I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable. My aim is to make violin learning effective and enjoyable.

My teaching style is centred on making violin learning clear, motivating, and practical for students. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain concepts like rhythm, pitch, and expression so students can easily understand and apply them. I focus on essential fundamentals such as posture, finger placement, bow control, and scales to build strong technical skills.
I teach step by step and ensure students gain confidence before progressing further. I also personalise my teaching approach based on each student’s learning style. Communication is very important in my classes, and I encourage students to ask questions and stay actively involved.
I provide regular feedback and guidance to support their growth. I follow values like honesty, discipline, and commitment. Along with violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and performance skills.
