About James
I studied maths at university and focused on mathematical education. This involved learning the theory behind learning, creating lesson plans and teach large classes. I've also done lots of 1-2-1 tutoring including one student who was on the autistic spectrum. Teaching was going to be my career path but now I work as a network engineer for BT but please don't hold that against me if your Internet is terrible ;)
I've taught student from year 5 preparing for secondary school entry exams through to a level further maths and up to 2nd year university level. I've also help students prepare for assessment centers at both apprenticeship and graduate level. If you think we could be a good match then please give me a call

My methodology is very student focused. Every student will learn in a different way and teaching can not be a "one size fits all" approach. Making sure students understand concepts and methods and aren't just learning to regurgitate information is of the upmost importance. Focusing on exams is also very important because at the end of the day getting a good grade is what will get students to the places they want to go to
