About Clara
Hi, I’m Clara! I’m a college student with a strong foundation in math and a genuine passion for helping others learn. Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time working with my younger siblings on their math homework, which has helped me develop patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts in a way that truly makes sense.
I’m reliable, organized, and committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more capable and less stressed when it comes to math.

My approach as a tutor is patient, supportive, and focused on making math feel simple and approachable. I take the time to understand where each student is struggling and explain concepts step by step in a way that actually makes sense to them, not just as they're written in textbooks.
A typical lesson with Clara includes reviewing current homework or problem areas, breaking down the concept into clear steps, and then practicing together until the student feels confident doing it on their own. I also like to check understanding along the way and adjust my explanations if needed.
What sets me apart is my real experience helping my younger siblings learn math over the years. This taught me how to explain things in multiple ways, stay patient, and create a comfortable space where students don’t feel embarrassed asking questions.
My lessons are best suited for elementary, middle school, and early high school students (Algebra 1 and below), especially those who feel stuck, behind, or need extra support building confidence.
