About Lydia
I am an outgoing, patient and understanding person, who enjoy teaching what I enjoy- and that's Spanish! I didn't always find Spanish easy, as I picked up the language from a young age, so I understand possible difficulties from all ages. Most importantly, I am a patient person, which I think is a very important aspect in student's learning journey.
In terms of my education journey, I studied Spanish from a young age, and I took Spanish for GCSE's, achieving an A in the subject. I also completed Spanish for A-level, but due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we weren't able to sit the exam, but I achieved a B at A-level (but was predicted an A). I'm not taking Spanish at University, but I still keep up with Spanish and maintain my understanding and grow it. I do this through online learning, and Spanish media.

My name is Lydia and I'm soon to be 21. I've studied Spanish since I was 5, and studied Spanish for A-level. I still practise my Spanish regularly, and I am a confident speaker in the language. I'll be happy to teach up to A-level standard. Studying languages requires engagement and enthusiasm, and these are traits I'd like to put into my lessons. Most importantly, my lessons would be custom to the student's level in Spanish, and our first lessons will be a 'get to know each other' session. Not just to find out about their Spanish and their goals from learning with me, but also a bit about them and their hobbies- so I can adjust my lessons based on this. With languages, I've found it's beneficial to embrace yourself in the media of that language. So, in my lessons, I like to use the assistance and films, TV and music, to grow conversational Spanish skills too.
