About Myra
I am currently a UCLA student majoring in Computer Science, pursuing in B.S. degree. I've been working as an assistant teacher at Kumon for the past 4 years, tutoring math and reading levels up to 12th grade. I have exclusive experience tutoring online for the last year for math as well. I enjoy creating a comfortable, encouraging environment for my student to learn! I have most experience tutoring Algebra 1 & 2, Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, but I also able to tutor AP Calculus BC and Linear Algebra as I have taken those classes before.

I believe that patience is key to learning - it's something difficult and time and practice is necessary for this process! Active participation is what helps the best to detangle a misunderstanding in a topic - I make sure my session is engaging for the student, and that the lesson plan is tailored to their needs. I have an experience of 4 years tutoring, so I am good at being flexible to each student and to come up with creative solutions for their lesson plan. I specialize in K-12 math. This would include Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. I'm also able to tutor Linear Algebra since I've taken a college class myself.
