About Matt

I am a passionate singing tutor with over six years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a Voice Major. I work closely with students preparing for auditions, competitions, and confident stage performances. My teaching covers Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater styles. I help singers build clear diction, healthy range expansion, and strong vocal agility. Repertoire selection is always personalized to suit each voice and goal. I guide students in dramatic interpretation so they can truly connect with the music and the audience. I have experience teaching school students, drama majors, and adult singers returning to music after a break. Lessons are structured, supportive, and goal-focused. I believe steady technique creates freedom on stage. Together, we build strong voices, confident stage presence, and true vocal artistry.

For **The Orchestra Member**, lessons focus on strong music literacy through daily notation reading and structured sight-singing practice. Interval training links written notes to accurate pitch, strengthening the ear-mind-voice connection. Rhythm exercises use clapping, counting, and rhythm trainers to build precision and ensemble reliability. Harmony work develops blend, tuning, and awareness within sections. Sight-singing apps and notation tools support steady progress between rehearsals.

For **The Crossover Artist**, lessons connect classical reading skills with stylistic freedom. Notation is used to understand structure, while interval training sharpens intonation across genres. Rhythm exercises improve groove, timing, and flexibility. Harmony building supports layering, improvisation, and vocal color choices. With consistent practice, digital tools, and mindful listening, both personas grow confident, expressive, and musically fluent singers.
