About Medet

Hello, I'm Medet, and I'm passionate about helping students grasp the complexities of physics. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nazarbayev University and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Data Analytics at Boston University.

Olympiad Experience

My journey in the world of physics began during my high school years when I actively participated in numerous physics Olympiads, where I consistently demonstrated my enthusiasm and aptitude for the subject. One of my most notable achievements was receiving a silver medal in an international physics Olympiad during my final year of high school, where I competed against more than 100 participants from over 10 CIS countries.

In addition to my international recognition, I have also been awarded silver medals at the Republic Olympiad in Physics in my home country, Kazakhstan, not once but twice. These accolades underscore my dedication to physics and my ability to excel in the subject.

Teaching Philosophy

My approach to teaching is rooted in my own experiences and successes in physics. I believe that every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance, practice, and a clear understanding of the core concepts. I aim to make physics engaging and relatable, helping students build a strong foundation and problem-solving skills that will serve them well in their academic journey.

I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with students who are eager to learn and excel in physics. Whether you're just starting your physics journey or looking to master advanced topics, I'm here to provide you with personalized guidance and support to help you achieve your academic goals.

Let's embark on this exciting physics adventure together!

Teaching Approach:

My teaching approach is student-centric and adaptive, tailored to individual learning styles and needs. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring physics concepts. I employ a combination of visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive discussions to make complex topics more comprehensible.

Teaching Methods and Techniques:

I utilize a variety of teaching methods and techniques, including:

1. Conceptual Understanding: Emphasizing the fundamental principles behind physics concepts to build a strong foundation.
2. Problem Solving: Guiding students through problem-solving techniques, breaking down complex questions into manageable steps.
3. Interactive Learning: Encouraging active participation through discussions, quizzes, and hands-on experiments when possible.
4. Visual Aids: Using diagrams, charts, and multimedia resources to illustrate abstract concepts.
5. Practice and Feedback: Providing ample practice problems and offering constructive feedback to enhance comprehension and skill development.

Typical Lesson Plan:

1. Introduction (5 minutes): Brief overview of the lesson's objectives.
2. Concept Exploration (15 minutes): Introduce the core concept with real-world examples.
3. Interactive Discussion (10 minutes): Engage students in a discussion to encourage critical thinking.
4. Problem Solving (20 minutes): Work through sample problems together, applying the learned concept.
5. Practice Exercises (15 minutes): Assign practice problems for students to solve independently.
6. Q&A and Feedback (10 minutes): Address questions and provide feedback on students' work.
7. Conclusion and Homework (5 minutes): Summarize the key takeaways and assign homework.

What Sets Me Apart:

What sets me apart as a tutor is my blend of engineering and data analytics background. This unique perspective allows me to connect physics to real-world applications, making it relevant and exciting for students. Additionally, my experience in competitive physics Olympiads and academic achievements underscores my proficiency in the subject.

Target Audience:

My lessons are suitable for students at various levels, including high school and undergraduate degree programs. I can adapt my teaching style to cater to the specific needs and goals of each student, whether they are seeking to excel academically, prepare for exams, or simply enhance their understanding of physics concepts.
