About Nurlinah
Hi, I'm Linah – Your Friendly Malay Language Tutor! I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in speaking, reading, and writing in Bahasa Melayu. My journey as a tutor started during my secondary school days when I taught students from kindergarten to Form 3. Even though I don’t have years of formal teaching experience, my background as a Bachelor of Marketing graduate has strengthened my communication and teaching skills. For your additional information, I have always been my teacher's favorite during my school days and I haven't failed in getting an A for my Bahasa Melayu subject from primary until I finished my secondary school just to assure you. I believe that learning a language should be fun, interactive, and stress-free! My goal is to make sure my students not only understand the language but also enjoy using it in their daily lives. Whether you’re a young learner, a student looking to improve your grades, or someone who wants to master Malay for personal or professional reasons, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s learn together and make Bahasa Melayu easy and enjoyable!

My Approach to Tutoring Malay Language
Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
I believe that learning should be interactive and engaging. My lessons combine structured learning with fun activities such as storytelling, role-playing, and real-life conversation practice. I tailor my teaching to each student's learning style, ensuring they grasp grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation effectively. For me, it is very essential to know how my students, whether they are auditory learners, visual learners and such. Then I will tailor my teaching skills as what they truly need.
Lesson Duration:
Each session typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student's needs and attention span. I ensure a balanced lesson structure, starting with a recap, followed by new material, interactive exercises, and a short review at the end. I would also help students to finish their homework if they wanted to.
My Qualifications & Experience:
I have prior experience tutoring students from kindergarten to Form 3 during my secondary school years. Although I don’t have formal long-term teaching experience, my background as a Bachelor of Marketing graduate equips me with strong communication skills to teach effectively.
