About Luhn
Hello! My name is Luhn Van Wyk, and I am a passionate and dedicated Foundation Phase teacher with hands-on experience in early childhood education. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when given the right support, and my goal is to create a learning environment that is engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I am TEFL certified and currently working as an assistant teacher at Durbanville Primary School, where I teach in-class, coach sports, and assist with administrative tasks. My experience includes working with children of all ages and diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ADD, and dyslexia. My teaching philosophy is centered on learning through play, exploration, and practical activities that make learning fun and memorable. I offer lessons in both English and Afrikaans, focusing on building strong literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. Whether your child needs extra academic support or a boost in confidence, I am here to help them reach their full potential. I look forward to guiding and inspiring young learners on their educational journey!

As a dedicated Foundation Phase teacher, my tutoring approach is hands-on, interactive, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans, allowing me to teach in either language based on the student’s preference. Each session is structured to reinforce previous learning while introducing new concepts in a way that is easy to understand and retain. My lessons are designed for young learners, particularly those in the Foundation Phase, as well as students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ADD, and dyslexia. Whether your child needs extra support or a head start in subjects like literacy, numeracy, and early critical thinking, my lessons provide a safe and nurturing space for growth.
