About Caroline

I am an English Literature graduate from Warwick University, currently studying for my solicitor’s qualifying exams.I have extensive experience as a KS2, KS3, GSCE/iGCSE and A-Level tutor across all humanities subjects and particularly in English Literature/ Language. I have taught at a tutoring school in West London, Owl Education, that specialises in classroom-style group tutoring. Moreover, I have also tutored students in one-to-one style lessons both at home and online. I have taught pupils of all abilities, ranging from specialised help for dyslexic students to advice for potential Oxbridge applicants and UCAs application help. I have an extensive knowledge of Edexcel and OCR exam board teaching requirements for both GCSE and A-Level English Literature, History and Geography.
I have completed my law conversion course (Graduate Diploma in Law) at BPP University in London and am moving on to study the Legal Practice Course later this year, having obtained a competitive training contract to work at Magic Circle law firm upon completion of my examinations.

About the lesson

My teaching style is encouraging and positive, and my love for learning permeates every one of my lessons. I tailor every one of my lesson plans to the individual needs of the student in question, and pride myself on my approachability and infectious love for reading and writing. Students can expect engaging, discussion-based sessions where they are encouraged to share their ideas about related topics, whilst also remaining tightly exam-focussed. I have a plethora of highly-successful revision strategies including tailor-made worksheets, guides and flashcard sets that I share with all my students, enabling them to break down the often seemingly overwhelming complexity of the arts subjects into easily understood, highly applicable exam techniques.
