About Kelsey
Hi! My name is Kelsey, and I am a passionate and caring elementary educator with a degree in Primary Education (PK–5). I recently graduated and am excited to begin my journey helping students grow, learn, and gain confidence in their abilities. I have worked in child care for over five years, as well as working as a long-term substitute in the meantime of getting my license in primary education. I have lots of knowledge and skills to bring to any child!
I truly believe that every child is capable of success when they feel supported and understood. I strive to create a welcoming, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes. Building strong relationships with my students is very important to me, because I know that trust and connection are key to meaningful learning.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
My teaching approach is student-centered, engaging, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner. I use a combination of guided practice, hands-on activities, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students can access and understand the material.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson begins with a brief review or warm-up to activate prior knowledge. I then introduce the new concept using clear modeling and examples. Students engage in guided practice with support, followed by independent work to reinforce understanding. I include opportunities for discussion, questions, and feedback throughout the lesson. Each session ends with a quick assessment or reflection to monitor progress and plan next steps. (I will also tailor lessons as I work with your child and provide those lessons to you to review with your child)

My lessons are designed for elementary students (PK–5), including those who need support in foundational reading, writing, and math skills.
