About Kevin
I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry with a minor in Biology and have taught physics and chemistry at a community college for four years. My academic training, combined with practical experience, has provided me with a strong foundation in the sciences and a deep passion for education. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is helping students overcome challenging concepts and experience that “aha” moment. I began tutoring as an undergraduate and have since worked with students ranging from 4th grade to adult learners. My tutoring approach emphasizes critical thinking, conceptual clarity, and problem-solving skills. I incorporate visual aids, interactive activities, and real-world analogies to make complex ideas more accessible and engaging. With experience tutoring students from age 10 to 30+ in both one-on-one and group settings, I’ve developed the ability to adapt my methods to meet each learner's unique needs. Whether a student is building foundational skills or tackling advanced topics, I strive to make lessons meaningful and relatable. Above all, I believe learning should be enjoyable and personalized. I focus on building rapport, fostering curiosity, and creating a supportive environment that empowers students to succeed.
