About Robert
Learning disabilities (dyscalculia and dyslexia) have made my school days very difficult. I had to climb from mavo to finally vwo. I managed to achieve my goals, but it was a lonely struggle. I know better than anyone how important it is to get extra help from people who understand the problems involved, and who do the right thing to restore confidence in one's equity.
Nothing gives me more pleasure and hope to see people grow in subjects they say they don't understand.

My lessons mainly take the form of homework coaching. Together we go through the material and I help where there are problems. With my approach you don't get pre-made answers, but the right support and encouragement to develop self-confidence.

Worked for three years as a teacher at the University of Amsterdam, and five years as a One-on-one coach.
For students and adults. My best experience was guiding someone to pass their colloquium doctum.

Perfect! Robert is super vriendelijk en geduldig. Hij legt alles goed en duidelijk uit, cijfers zijn goed omhoog gegaan!
Perfect! Robbert heeft mijn zoon geholpen met het voorbereiden voor de schoolexamens (natuurkunde en wiskunde). Het resultaat van de examens was zeker verbeterd door extra oefeningen met Robbert. Hij kan de leerstof op duidelijke manier uitleggen. Hij focust op moeilijke onderwerpen.
Perfect! Robert is kalm en geduldig en neemt uitgebreid de tijd om alles grondig en van begin tot eind uit te leggen, zonder iets over te slaan, zodat je het complete verhaal begrijpt — en niet alleen de opgave snapt.

Super leuke geduldige bijlesdocent :). Legt helder en duidelijk uit
Rob komt uit een gezin van leraren en dat heeft duidelijk invloed op hem gehad. Zelf heb ik jarenlang Nederlands als tweede taal gegeven aan mensen met een migratieachtergrond. Dat vroeg een speciale pedagogische aanpak en vooral veel geduld. Bij mijn zoon zie ik veel van mijn eigen aanpak terug. Als hij je iets probeert bij te brengen gaat hij met dezelfde passie en geduld te werk.
Robbert heeft mij geholpen om mijn colloquium doctum (21+ toelatingstoets) te behalen. Ik had nooit wiskunde 2 en natuurkunde in mijn vakkenpakket gehad wat voor HBO Mechanical Engineering absolute noodzaak was. Ik heb dankzij de betrokkenheid van Robert en zijn toegespitste training de toelatingstoets cum laude behaald.
De afgelopen twee jaar heb ik Robert door onze studiesessies leren kennen als een zorgvuldige, scherpzinnige en toegewijde onderzoekspartner. Een fijne discussiegenoot, altijd ontzettend kalm en begripvol, maar doortastend tegelijk. Als ik iets niet helemaal begrijp of in de knoop zit met een ingewikkeld stuk materie, neemt hij rustig de tijd om erachter te komen waar ik precies mee worstel en blijft hij aandachtig proberen om mij te begrijpen; om te begrijpen waarom ik er niets van begrijp, zodat hij het beter kan uitleggen. Kortom, hij is een echte mentor. Ik kan me geen fijnere bijlesleraar voorstellen dan Robert.
